“I’m a Danish artist and papercrafter living in Edinburgh after spending many years in Ayrshire.
I discovered origami when my older cousin made me a folder of instructions when I was about 8 years old and rekindled my love for making things out of paper through a university assignment years later.
I studied Digital Art but ironically my favourite project was the very non-digital task of creating something new out of an old book. I made a garden. Since then my obsession with all things paper has grown and while I also still draw, my main creative outlet is paper.”
Tabi creates gift boxes, cards and pictures using origami and other papercrafting techniques. Her pop-up cards are fitted to a whole range of occasions from birthdays to engagements, weddings and anniversaries, new babies, thanks and of course, Christmas!
She is also a skilled photographer and has produced a calendar incorporating her animal images which is available in the Gallery.
